Nikon D3100 camera - Brand New Nikon For 2010

Hello, my name is Sean and I am an amateur photographer from London, England. I have only been using a Nikon DSLR for 2 years now, before
I was just using a point and shoot. But I became so interested in photography that I wanted to buy a proper camera so to speak.
The camera that I bought was the Nikon D5000 and that was and still is a fantastic camera, excellent for the beginner.
But being the gadget man that I am, I had to buy the latest Nikon camera when it came out. Which happens to be the Nikon D3100, and what a camera it is! If your looking for your first Digital SLR then please look no further.

It can take pictures up to 14.2 Mega Pixels and can shoot Full High Definition Video @ 1080P, and the videos are gorgeous.
I have just recently bought the brand new Nikon D3100 DSLR and I have to say that this is an amazing camera, that I would highly recommend as a first Digital SLR. The Nikon 3100 is designed very well and is lightweight and very comfortable to hold, for the size and feel, it's very similar to D3000 but has more goodies from the higher versions.
It is also very easy to use, The D3100 features Nikon's Guide Mode with intuitive controls and on-board assistance helping you take better pictures every step of the way.
A lot of people are asking the question "how does it compare to the Nikon D5000?" which is one of Nikon's best selling Cameras to date. In comparison I would say that the two camera's are very much same in all departments, but the D3100 has a higher mega pixel count when taking pictures and the main for me and the reason I bought this camera is it's ability to record 1080p HD video.
If your seriously considering buying your first DSLR then you can't go wrong with this camera.
